Korea Environmental Microorganisms Bank (KEMB) would like to provide indigenous microbial resources in Korea to be used as basic data for biological treatment research for removing environmental pollutants and restoring ecosystems. However, in principle, for domestic health and safety, it is necessary to sell it only if it has knowledge and research on strains or facilities suitable for industrial application. We also inform you that the sale may be rejected depending on the strain.

How to Order

  • Apply for sale after signing up for membership online
  • Or, fill out the application form and use e-mail/fax, or apply for sale by phone
 

How it will be delivered

Most microbial strains are sold freeze-dried in sutured ampules, and some are sold in active conditions.  

Procedure for strain order

  1. - Download the strain order application form and fill it out Application Form
  2. - E-mail the completed application

  1. Confirmation of application details
  2. Identify the appropriateness and inventory of requested strains
  3. Charging for strain order
  4. Send the strain after confirming the deposit from the customer
 

Price of the strains

  • UniversityS, National or Public Research Institute: KRW 20,000
  • When making a deposit without a bankbook, please make sure to deposit it in the applicant's name

Precautions

  1. The strains received cannot be transferred or resold to a third party.
  2. If the strain you have received is an ampule or active culture, store it in a 4℃ refrigerator, and the microorganisms you have sold should be tested for survival as soon as possible, and it will not be re-sold after 1 month has elapsed from the time of sale.
  3. The results of the study using strains from the Korea Environmental Microorganisms Bank (KEMB) will be included in the KEMB database for other researchers. Please send us the research results.
